Raymond Felton, the struggling New York Knicks point guard, was arrested early Tuesday morning for allegedly pointing a gun at his girlfriend, according to the New York Post. Felton was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, and will appear in court today.

The incident – it isn’t yet clear what exactly transpired – happened hours after the Knicks lost to the Mavericks at a buzzer. While the Post claims the arrest involves his girlfriend, it is worth noting that Felton is married to a 26-year old law student who recently filed for divorce.

The Daily News claims an “unidentified woman” went to police with Felton’s gun, which prompted the questioning and then arrest.

"Felton surrendered after an unidentified woman dropped off his gun at the 20th Precinct stationhouse in the Upper West Side."

ABC News claims the “unidentified woman” who brought the gun to police was his wife. New York has notoriously strict gun laws – ask Plaxico Burress.
