Robin van Persie, as the saying goes, scores when he wants … except for the majority of this miserable season for Manchester United. The Dutch ace picked the right day to snap out of his slump, scoring a hat trick vs. Olympiacos (as of the 65th minute) in the Champions League that would send Manchester United into the quarterfinals.

David Moyes, the would-be football genius, obviously told van Persie to do that. (It also helps that Olympiacos keeper Roberto decided to do his best statue impression in the middle of the play.)
