Wesley Saunders Made a Sweet Scoop Shot in Harvard's Victory Over Cincinnati
By Jason Lisk
Wesley Saunders can go circus shot if necessary. This was a sweet scoop move to get it away from the defender’s block attempt. Harvard led for most of the game, and got the benefit of an early technical on Cincinnati when they failed to put a player in the game book. That error proved costly in the final minutes, as Cincinnati trailed by 3 and had to foul late, and ended up losing 61-57.
For the second straight year, Harvard shows that they are a team that can play with the big boys, knocking off another ranked opponent in the first game.
