To be perfectly fair to Dan Marino — who sternly went into this moment with a strikes only mentality — this pitch may have caught the outside corner had the batter been Richie Sexson. Or Gheorghe Muresan.
But when it comes to a professional athlete from another sport, retired or not, attempting a ceremonial first pitch, it will never, ever get worse than John Wall.
