Nationals Fan in Chewbacca Mask is a Wonderful Tribute to Hairy Baseball Players Nationwide

Major League Baseball players are getting increasingly hairier with each passing season, especially following Boston’s highly disturbing beard-tugging championship run from last year along with the existence of the always hairy Oakland A’s, who have thrived on exploding hair and memorable mustaches since the 70s.

So there’s really no better way to celebrate the spirit of the growing trend than by wearing a Chewbacca mask to the ballpark, particularly the one that Jayson Werth calls home. The addition of gargantuan glove serves as a nice touch to the subtlety being exhibited here.

A Giant Gonzalez costume also would have been acceptable, but you knew that already.
