Melanie Carter, the wife of NFL Hall of Famer and current ESPN analyst Cris Carter, alleges she was headbutted by another woman during a dispute stemming from a call in a doubles tennis match in Boca Raton, Fla. gated community on Monday. The Sun Sentinel provides details on this utterly riveting encounter. As an added bonus, there’s the middle-aged tennis club version of “Come at me, bro” before things jumped off!

" When Carter didn’t agree with the judge’s call to play the point again, the two moved toward each other and started arguing, according to the report. Carter told police that the judge, Kimberly Ann Fox, 43, of Parkland, said something like, “hit me” and then head-butted her before the two ended up scuffling on the ground. "

The pair then fought on the ground, briefly, exchanging blows. Fox claims that Carter, 47,  threw the first punch. No arrests were made after the incident. Amazingly video of the fight doesn’t exist, either.

Without being overly glib, who knew Boca Raton tennis club matches got so rough?
