Abdullah the Butcher Loses $2.3 Million Lawsuit for Allegedly Giving Other Wrestler Hepatitis C

Abdullah the Butcher, the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame inductee whose real name is Lawrence Robert Shreve, was ordered to pay $2.3 million to Devin Nicholson, whose stage name is Hannibal. CBC reports that an Ottawa judge’s ruling came after Nicholson filed a $6.5 million suit against Shreve for bleeding on him in a 2007 match, after which he contracted Hepatitis C. Discovery of the disease allegedly caused WWE to rescind a three-year contract offer from Nicholson; Shreve has 30 days to appeal.
