The Minnesota Timberwolves have had a helluva time attempting to fill their head coaching position since Rick Adelman retired in April. Nobody wants to coach the team because Minnesota’s best player, Kevin Love, is reportedly on the trading block. There’s almost no chance he stays with the franchise, so why not trade him rather than get nothing in return?

Imagine taking the coaching job and then a week later, the best player gets dealt for draft picks and expiring contracts? Good luck winning with that.

So a few days after Kevin Love “toured” Boston, Minnesota’s President of Basketball Operations, Flip Saunders, decided he’ll coach the team, too.

Smells like 27-55 with or without Love.
