Yoenis Cespedes of Oakland made an absolutely beautiful throw – a 300-foot strike – from the outfield corner to home plate to nail Anaheim’s Howie Kendrick. Cespedes initially misplayed a Mike Trout hit, allowing the ball to bounce off his glove and to the wall, but Cespedes quickly regrouped to make a Puig-like heave to the plate. It is arguably the greatest defensive play of the MLB season thus far.

The play by Cespedes kept the score tied at one, but Anaheim prevailed in the 14th inning, 2-1.
