Bryan Ruiz scored this goal to put Costa Rica ahead 1-0 over Italy at the half in Manaus. Apparently, he’s gotten over his case of the Fulhams. If that score holds, the 1,500-1 underdog Ticos are heading to the knockout round. Some obscure island nation would be eliminated as well.
Karma may have been on Costa Rica’s side, after Joel Campbell was denied a clear penalty claim.
