Bryan Ruiz scored one of the most-accurately placed goals of the 2014 World Cup, putting Costa Rica ahead 1-0 over Greece early into the second half. Ruiz hit it first time and somehow his slow-roller stunned the entire Greece defense, leaving them flat-footed as it curled into the bottom corner. Note Sokratis Papastathopoulos and keeper Orestis Karnezis doing their best croquet wicket impressions on the play.

CONCACAF, baby!

Costa Rica nearly doubled the lead minutes later and called for a handball on Vasilis Torosidis inside the box.

If this result stands Costa Rica plays the Netherlands on Saturday.
