Russell Wilson Unfazed By Fox News Attempt to Get Him to Hate on Michelle Obama

Russell Wilson was interviewed by Neil Cavuto on Fox News Channel on Monday. After walking through some of the Seattle quarterback’s charitable endeavors to thwart childhood hunger, Cavuto said that “many” are calling Michelle Obama a “food police mommy,” and asked why Wilson’s programs would be working but the First Lady’s aren’t.

“Well, the First Lady, I have so much respect for her,” Wilson answered without skipping a beat, saying that he met the President and her when the Seahawks won the Super Bowl and went to the White House.

Wilson transitioned back to his own struggles to eat healthily as a kid (which I have a hard time believing is true, but that’s not the point), without ever really dignifying Cavuto’s leading question. You’re gonna have to come with much better game than that to get Wilson to say anything even remotely controversial.
