Michael Sam Clears Waivers, Can Sign WIth Any Practice Squad

Michael Sam has cleared waivers, and is a free agent. He’s able to sign on any team’s practice squad; at this point, it feels like the Rams are most likely because Sam knows the system. Though the team has a very deep defensive line, which was ultimately what doomed the seventh round pick’s chances to make the 53-man roster, Sam’s productivity in the preseason would purportedly make the team comfortable with slotting him in later in the year in the event of injuries.
