Will Muschamp was going to be without receiver Demarcus Robinson and defensive linemen Jay-nard Bostwick and Darious Cummings for Florida’s season opener against Idaho on Saturday. The three players were sitting out the game for unspecified infractions deemed miss-a-game-worthy. Here’s Muschamp on the one-game suspensions. Via Gator Zone:

"“Jay-nard Bostwick and Darious Cummings will not play due to a violation of team rules and Demarcus Robinson will miss the game due to a university sanction that is now resolved,” Will Muschamp said “I support the university sanction. We have rules here that we have to follow — team, athletic department and university rules — and when you don’t follow them there are consequences.”"

On Saturday, Idaho showed up, but the game was canceled because of bad weather following a 3-hour delay and nothing but the opening kickoff. This was apparently enough for Muschamp and the University of Florida. Robinson, Bostwick and Cummings will be back for the Gators’ game against Eastern Michigan next Saturday. The Eastern Michigan Eagles are coming off a 31-28 season-opening victory over Morgan State and should not be taken lightly.
