Oscar Pistorius did not intentionally kill his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, in 2013, a judge in South Africa ruled this morning. Pistorius, the former Olympic sprinter known as the ‘Blade Runner’ because he has two prosthetic legs, sobbed as Judge Thokozile Masipa rendered her verdict.

Though he wasn’t guilty of premeditated murderer, Pistorius could still face lesser chargers, such as “culpable homicide.”

On Valentine’s Day 2013, Pistorius awoke in the middle of the night and thought he heard an intruder in his bathroom. Pistorius immediately pumped four bullets into the bathroom door, killing Steenkamp.
