The Royals were about to get Yost’d, down 7-3 to the A’s after six inning in the American League Wild Card Game Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium. Lo and behold Kansas City clawed back into the game and forced extra innings in the bottom of the ninth. With one out Jarrod Dyson stole third off Sean Doolittle — celebrated at the bag — and promptly scored the tying run on Nori Aoki’s sac-fly to right.

Dyson, a pinch runner for Josh Willingham, moved to second on a sac-bunt … so I guess Ned Yost is a genius … for one inning at least.

Baseball tonight has been a lot of fun.
