Todd Gurley, Georgia’s star running back and the Heisman Trophy leader, has been suspended indefinitely by the school during an ongoing investigation into an alleged violation of NCAA rules. No further details were released by the school.

Gurley won’t play Saturday against Missouri. Georgia was a 3-point favorite earlier this week, but the line fell to two following the news. Freshman running back Nick Chubb is expected to start in his place.

A lock to be a 1st round draft pick in the 2015 draft, Gurley has rushed for 773 yards so far this season in just five games, and is averaging 8.2 yards per carry. He ran for 1,385 yards as a freshman, and 989 yards last year as a sophomore during an injury-riddled campaign.
