DeShaun Watson, Clemson Star QB, Suffers Broken Hand vs. Louisville
By Jason McIntyre
DeShaun Watson, the Clemson freshman QB who might open the 2016 season as the Heisman Trophy favorite, suffered a broken throwing hand against Louisville on this play and may not play again this season.
Watson opened this season splitting snaps with senior Cole Stoudt, but stole the job against Florida State when he nearly led the Tigers to victory before Clemson fumbled in the red zone with less than two minutes to go. FSU prevailed in overtime.
In Watson’s best performance of the young season, he passed for 435 yards and six touchdowns in a win over UNC.
