Anthony Barr made a freakish play to end the overtime contest in Tampa Bay and give Minnesota the victory. Tampa Bay got the ball to start overtime, but Barr came up with the rare rip to cause the fumble and then was also the one to then pick it up and the bounce and race all the way down the sideline for the winner.

This puts a nice bow on the NFC South’s day as we wait for the Sunday night contest in New Orleans. Carolina lost a late lead to Seattle at home, Atlanta absolutely vomited all over itself after having a 21-o lead in London against the Lions, and the Bucs lost a game when they had the ball in overtime, and a lead at the end of regulation.

If New Orleans doesn’t win tonight, then it will have been since October 5th that a NFC South team has actually won a NFL game. That would then come to an end–barely–before the month of October is over, because Carolina and New Orleans play on Thursday.
