Wes Welker Drop Leads to INT and Quick Patriots Touchdown

Wes Welker dropped a pass from Peyton Manning; it landed in the hands of Brandon Browner, who returned the ball inside the Broncos’ 10. On the next play, Tom Brady hit Brandon LaFell for a touchdown to give New England a three-score lead. Welker did get drilled in the back on the play, but he had already dropped the ball.

Last November versus his former team, Welker had two big drops and was involved in a key Tony Carter fumble that cost the Broncos big late. (Though any conspiracy that he’s a double agent would go out the window from this pick play on Aqib Talib in last season’s playoffs.)
