The Sanderson Farms Championship is an annual event on the PGA Tour previously called the True South Classic, the Viking Classic, the Southern Farm Bureau Classic, the Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic, and originally, the Magnolia State Classic. 2013 was Sanderson Farms’ first year with naming rights so it makes sense that they would debut a new trophy to make this event their own. Last year they had this boring trophy. Blah. What this event needs is a big rooster. Presumably, the trophy was inspired by the 2013 winner, Woody Austin. [@SandersonPGA, @DJPie]
