Ball State lost to Northern Illinois, 35-21, on Wednesday night in televised MACtion. During the 4th quarter, while it was still a one-possession game, Northern Illinois set up a screen pass that was less than successful. The ball slipped out of quarterback Drew Hare’s hand and popped up in the air. Milas almost caught it – but he didn’t – and the ball hit the ball and bounced back many yards before Ball State recovered the ball. It was a weird and wonderful play.
