Jose Canseco's Finger Fell Off While He Was Playing in a Poker Tournament

Jose Canseco’s Thursday Twitter riff on comets and space travel was a perfect example of why the former slugger can be fun to follow.
Last night’s update on his recently reattached finger was a perfect example of why following Canseco can be also depressing.
The 140-character enthusiast informed the world his finger, which he accidentally shot off while cleaning a gun last month, fell off while he was participating in a poker tournament.
I knew something crazy was going to happen with this dam finger cause it felt like it was falling off.

Canseco didn’t share details of his play at the table. One has to think losing a finger during play would give a player a psychological advantage over his opponents — unless, of course, he only does it while bluffing.
