Minor League Hockey Team's Seinfeld Night was Real and (Maybe) Spectacular?

In another life I’m going to come back and work in the promotions department for the Bakersfield Condors. The ECHL team continues to find ways to make headway in the all-important blog content game, whether it be giving away funeral plots or letting live condors loose inside the arena.

The team’s latest stunt came over the weekend via Seinfeld night. The promotion included puffy shirt-themed jerseys, a Kramer impersonator and fans shooting marble ryes at the goal for a prize. My favorite part of the night is the players were introduced using obscure Seinfeld characters such as Lloyd Bruan as they skated onto the ice.

It’s a shame nobody went with Alton Benes, as Elaine’s crusty, whiskey-drinking father makes the most of his only appearance during “The Jacket” in season two. (Turns out actor Lawrence Tierney was borderline crazy and the reason he only popped up once.)
