Six Louisiana Tech Players Ruled Academically Ineligible for Conference USA Championship Game

Louisiana Tech is squaring off against Marshall in the Conference USA championship game down six players, including five starters, after they were ruled academically ineligible.

The players are offensive linemen Mitchell Bell and Tre Carter, defensive lineman Aaron Brown, wide receiver Tevin King and linebackers Tony Johnson and Terrell Pinson.

Johnson and Pinson are two of the Bulldogs’ leading tacklers.

One-loss Marshall, playing at home, was already a significant favorite before the news broke.
