Fernandinho Needed to Call Bank on This Fantastic Goal vs. Burnley
By Mike Cardillo

Fernaninho isn’t a goal-scorer by trade, but the Manchester City midfielder made sure his first tally in the 2014-15 EPL season was one to remember with this curling, rocket off the inside of the top post vs. Burnley. The goal put Manchester City ahead 2-0, but Burnley rallied with two goals in the second half and the game finished as a surprise 2-2 draw.
Had Manchester City won it would have pulled within a point of first-place Chelsea which drew earlier in the day against Southampton. Instead City remain three points off the pace at the halfway point of the season.
54 - Man City had won their previous 54 PL home games where they'd enjoyed a lead of two or more goals. Stunned.
