The bulk of England’s FA Cup 4th round was played this morning. It was not a banner round for the patricians of the Barclay’s Premier League.

League leaders Chelsea blew a 2-0 lead to League One side Bradford City at home to lose 4-2. There were enough first-team players in that side to make it embarrassing.

Billion-plus dollar Manchester City lost 2-0 to Championship resident Middlesbrough at home, fielding more or less a first team.

Third place Southampton went down 3-2 to Crystal Palace.

The Leicester City Foxes, bottom in the EPL with just four wins from 22 matches, dispatched Tottenham 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

Yesterday, Manchester United drew 0-0 with League Two club Cambridge United. Liverpool (vs. Bolton) and Arsenal (vs. Brighton) could still add to the malaise.
