Dolphins Thought Bret Bielema Was Crazy For Wanting To Draft Russell Wilson in 2012

Bret Bielema interviewed for the Miami Dolphins job in 2012. Per ESPN.com, the then Wisconsin coach promised a Super Bowl within five years drafting Russell Wilson. The Dolphins thought he was nuts for wanting to draft him in the 2nd round.
"“They all looked at me like, ‘You can’t say that. That’s the difference between college and pro. He’s undersized. He can’t throw.’ I was like, ‘OK, all right,’ and I honestly, that day, kind of pulled myself out of it.”"
No word whether then Miami GM Jeff Ireland asked Bielema if his mother was a prostitute.
