NBA Trade Deadline Madness: Michael Carter-Williams Traded to Milwaukee, Brandon Knight to Phoenix

In a blockbuster NBA trade that has made this one of the craziest NBA trade deadlines in years, this deal apparently just went down:

Milwaukee gets
Michael Carter-Williams, point guard
Tyler Ennis, point guard
Miles Plumlee, center

Phoenix gets
Brandon Knight, point guard
Marcus Thornton, shooting guard
Cleveland 1st round pick (via Boston)

Boston gets
Isaiah Thomas, point guard

Philadelphia gets
Phoenix Suns pick (from the Lakers, Top 5 protected in 2015)

Houston gets
KJ McDaniels, SF

New York gets

Alexy Schved, guard

It is difficult to make sense of it all because the news is trickling out. The big shocker is that the 76ers have bailed on rookie of the year Michael Carter-Williams. The 76ers, who love the draft lottery, COULD have two of the top six picks in the June draft.

I’m going to need some time on Milwaukee’s thought process. They gave away Brandon Knight and got back one point guard who can’t get on the court in Toronto (Ennis) another that can’t shoot (MCW).

The Suns just blew up their backcourt of three guards … to pair Knight and Bledsoe, which is interesting. Also, they got another 1st round pick that’ll probably be in the 20s.

Boston suddenly has a feisty defensive backcourt of Marcus Smart and Isiah Thomas, along with Avery Bradley. They’re going to lock some teams down, that’s for sure.
