Danica Patrick and Denny Hamlin Engaged in Mildest NASCAR "Fight" Ever, But It's a Big Deal

Danica Patrick went after Denny Hamlin last night. It was featured at the top of the 11 pm Sportscenter, just after the Sidney Crosby fight. Look at her, putting her hands on Denny and scrunching up his suit.

This is the tamest, mildest NASCAR dispute I have ever seen on Sportscenter. Most of them involve a guy charging at another as he is getting out of his car in pit row, with slaps and punches and lots of pit crew members joining in. This involves a couple of cuss words and Danica grabbing Denny’s suit temporarily, followed by Hamlin putting his arm around Patrick. Is there anyway this is even a thing if it’s not Danica Patrick?

This one was more like a married couple argument (non-police getting called department). Some of the selected highlights:

"Denny: “Stop, listen to me.” Danica: “Dude, you give me nothing.” Denny: “It’s not my problem if you’re loose, Danica” Danica: “It happened twice, the same person, the same way.” Denny: [Covers face with both hands in exasperation] Danica: “I like you Denny, you’re my friend.” Denny: “You’re my friend. I get it, I get it. But what should I do, should I be like, ‘she’s loose, I can’t run next to her.’ What should I do?” Danica: “Don’t be up my ass.”"

What were we talking about again? Oh, cars, right. Get your head out of the gutter. Oh, and then Tony Stewart–no stranger to actual fisticuffs in pit row–came in to troll Hamlin because he sensed this “confrontation” needed something.
