Jonny Evans and Papiss Cissé Appeared to Spit On Each Other During Newcastle United-Manchester United Match

During the first half of Wednesday’s Newcastle United-Manchester United match, Red Devils defender Jonny Evans appeared to spit in the direction of Magpies striker Papiss Cissé, who was on the ground at the time. In response, Cissé got in Evans’ face and appeared to spit back at him.
We’ll have to wait and see whether or not either player faces any further discipline for their actions. Fox soccer analyst Alexi Lalas offered his thoughts about spitting up on Twitter.
Spitting at a player is the single worst thing you can do. I’d rather you punched me in the face (no, that’s not an offer.)
