Jeremy Maclin is going to Kansas City to reunite with former coach Andy Reid, ending the receiver’s 6-year run in Philadelphia. To make room for Maclin, the Chiefs are likely to release receiver Dwayne Bowe, who has been a bust with the Chiefs. Maclin enjoyed the finest year of his career in 2014, catching 85 passes for 1,318 yards and 10 touchdowns. He missed the previous year due to an ACL injury.

Man, Chip Kelly’s not messing around, huh? The Philadelphia newspapers and radio stations are going to be burning up this week with decisions to get rid LeSean McCoy and now Maclin within a week. Toss in the cutting of DeSean Jackson last summer and Kelly is clearly putting his imprint on the roster: It’s mine, all mine.

This would mean that Jordan Matthews, a 2nd year receiver from Vanderbilt, is the new No. 1 receiver on the roster. Logic would dictate that the Eagles will be looking to add a receiver in free agency (Percy Harvin?) or the draft. Philadelphia also retained QB Mark Sanchez on a two-year deal.

How crazy has NFL free agency been? And it hasn’t technically begun!
