The wait is over. Virginia Commonwealth coach Shaka Smart has taken the Texas job. The news was first reported by everyone at the same damn time. The leak must have sent a group text.

Smart broke the news to his VCU players who were #visiblydistraught.

It will be interesting to see how smart melds his “havoc” system with Texas’ traditional “point guard hoisting a mid-range runner” attack.
