Torn Achilles Feared for Adam Wainwright

Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright could be done for the year after coming up lame on a grounder on Saturday against the Brewers. Though he has not yet had an MRI, the tea leaves look ominous:

Wainwright is a top-flight starter, and it goes without saying that his absence would hurt the Cardinals, who are off to an early 12-4 start and in first place in the NL Central by three games.
