J.R. Smith Ejected After Taking Vicious Swing at Jae Crowder's Face

J.R. Smith is up to his old playoff tricks again. The Cleveland Cavaliers guard was ejected after earning a flagrant-2 foul for taking a backward swing at Jae Crowder’s face.

Crowder, who was previously involved in an altercation with Kendrick Perkins, suffered a knee injury and had to be helped to the locker room.

Smith’s blow comes two years to the day he delivered an elbow to the face of Boston’s Jason Terry. Smith, then playing for the New York Knicks, was suspended for the fourth game of that series and struggled mightily after the punishment.

One has to think he’s in danger of facing a more severe penalty for this action.
