The New York Times Magazine did a “Boys of Soccer” photoshoot in 2002 (broken down by Grantland in 2013), the genesis of the infamous Landon Donovan fountain photograph. A young DaMarcus Beasley also brought a bit of 20-year-old fire to that shoot. His Houston Dynamo teammates had a bit of fun at the now grizzled veteran’s expense. Well played.
