Michael Bennett might be the best source of quotes in the NFL today. He gave us “No sex on Wednesday” at the Super Bowl media day. He called out now-teammate Jimmy Graham as soft and overrated. He joined Richard Sherman in ripping the NCAA model. The most underrated is the cousin’s hot girlfriend thing.

And now, he’s added Pete Carroll as Willy Wonka. Bennett used the comparison during a phone interview this week with 750 The Game in Portland.

"“It’s like playing for Willy Wonka,” the disruptive, and always glib, defensive end told the station’s John Canzano. “He’s crazy. He wants to be young,” Bennett said of Carroll. “He just is one of those guys who’s always up beat, wants to have a good time, and let’s you be yourself.”"

And now is the time we look at some Pete Carroll GIFs in the archives:

Bennett also brought up Greg Schiano in a follow-up question (“You seem like a guy who couldn’t play for a stiff.”)

“I did that before. It wasn’t fun. His name is Greg Schiano,” Bennett answered.

In case you weren’t sure to whom he was referring.

The topic of Michael Bennett having a Michael Bennett III also came up.  “Yeah. I try to work on it every, single night,” he responded. Every single night except Wednesdays, we assume.
