Ryne Sandberg Resigns as Phillies Manager
By Jason McIntyre
Ryne Sandberg has resigned as the manager of the Philadelphia Phillies, which is probably the best for everyone. The organization is a disaster. The Phillies are going nowhere. The GM is in trouble. The players stink.
The Phillies are 26-48, owners of the worst record in baseball. They have – by far – the worst run differential in the Majors, -122. They’re years away from contending.
Sandberg, the former Cubs star, can now enjoy the rest of his summer.
