Six Louisville basketball players wanted to play laser tag in mid-April, probably because laser tag is fun. The basketball program gave the players the $7 admission fee that was needed. Because basketball was “out of season,” Louisville’s compliance office decided to report this as an NCAA violation, according to The Sporting News.

So the players had to find $7 and then donate it to charity. At what point does the NCAA decided news like this trickling out is an embarrassment? Nobody’s laughing with you, NCAA – they’re laughing at you.
