Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas are going to play a practice round against Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler before the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits. Spieth, looking to mess with Phil a little bit, has said he’s going to bring his U.S. Open trophy and set it on the green on every hole just to rub it in Phil’s face.

After his final round at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, Spieth told reporters:

"Via Devil Ball Golf: “I’m going to try to get the U.S. Open trophy flown in so I can sit it on the front of each green for Phil so I’ll have something for him to — that’s just dishing it back,” Spieth said to laughter after a final-round 66 at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational left him tied for 10th place. “We’ll see if we can get somebody to carry it around for the round. It’s the first time I have something on him.” "

Spieth won both the Masters and the U.S. Open this year, while Phil has won five major tournaments including the Masters, Open Championship, and PGA Championship, but has never collected a U.S. Open win and has a record six runner-up finishes at the event.

Don’t poke the bear, Spieth.

Golf wins again.
