Johnny Cueto made his home debut with the Kansas City Royals last night, and it was an event. It started with the little kids getting in on Cueto fever, including this infant.

Then Cueto went out and pitched a complete game shutout (a rarity with the Royals’ bullpen), and when he came back out in the ninth, the energy in the crowd added to Cueto’s flair. He worked in a double shoulder shake in the middle of a pitch to Ian Kinsler (apparently something he likes to do against Ians, as he did something similar against Ian Desmond a month ago).

That shoulder shimmy had Brad Ausmus complaining after the game, saying it was against the written rules (and no doubt a great violation of the unwritten ones).

Then, the night closed with this, which has to be up there among Gatorade bath photos.
