VIDEO: CC Sabathia Had to Be Restrained from Joining a Street Fight Outside a Toronto Nightclub

The New York Yankees remain atop the American League East after taking two of three games against the Blue Jays in Toronto. But the weekend wasn’t without its tense moments for the Bronx Bombers — like those captured here.

CC Sabathia was reportedly leaving a nightclub early Saturday morning when a fight involving multiple people broke out. The large lefty exchanged some angry words and had to be physically restrained from getting further involved. Sabathia was eventually convinced to get into a cab and away from the scene by some much smaller men.

The Yankees — and Yankee fans — should be thankful cooler heads prevailed.

On a related note, it seems like picking a fight with a man CC’s size is not a well thought-out decision.

Sabathia, who was scheduled to start tonight, has been moved to Tuesday. The change is unrelated to this video and was done in order to get him some extra rest, according to Brian Cashman.
