Fantasy Football 2015 Tight End Rankings: Gronk Way Out in Front
By Jason Lisk
At the tight end position, it’s pretty much Gronk and then the party drops off after that.
[Quarterback Fantasy Rankings]
Elite Tier
#1 Rob Gronkowski, NE
If Gronkowski is still around at the end of the 1st round, he merits a selection in PPR leagues.
Star Tier
#2 Jimmy Graham, SEA
#3 Greg Olsen, CAR
#4 Travis Kelce, KC
Graham has a little more uncertainty with the move to Seattle. Still the 2nd TE on the board, but the gap is much bigger. Don’t reach until at least late in the 3rd round. All of these guys are 4th and 5th round picks.
Starter Tier
#5 Martellus Bennett, CHI
#6 Zach Ertz, PHI
#7 Jordan Cameron, MIA
#8 Julius Thomas, JAC
#9 Jason Witten, DAL
Julius Thomas makes the move to Jacksonville, going from Peyton to Blake Bortles. Cameron will try to get healthy in South Beach. Bet against Witten at your own risk.
Committee Starter Tier
#10 Delanie Walker, TEN
#11 Dwayne Allen, IND
#12 Tyler Eifert, CIN
#13 Kyle Rudolph, MIN
#14 Antonio Gates, SD (suspended first 4 games)
#15 Josh Hill, NO
This is a tier that has upside, but question marks. Dwayne Allen hasn’t stayed healthy for the last two years, but if he does, he could be a big part of the Colts’ passing success. Eifert is also coming back from injury as well. Gates is aging, and now suspended. Josh Hill gets the opportunity to catch passes from Drew Brees.
Backup Tier
#16 Austin Sefarian-Jenkins, TB
#17 Larry Donnell, NYG
#18 Owen Daniels, DEN
#19 Coby Fleener, IND
#20 Jordan Reed, WAS
#21 Heath Miller, PIT
#22 Vernon Davis, SF
#23 Charles Clay, BUF
#24 Ladarius Green, SD
#25 Richard Rodgers, GB
Free Agent Tier
#26 Eric Ebron, DET
#27 Jared Cook, STL
#28 Maxx Williams, BAL
#29 Mychal Rivera, OAK
