Nick Saban Thinks He Can Coach 16 More Years Because His Mother Made a Hole-in-One When She Was 80

Nick Saban recently sat down with Paul Finebaum for an interview on Outside the Lines. In a 3-minute clip, Saban talked about National Championships and not knowing the scuttlebutt because he doesn’t listen to talk radio or social media. The most important thing is that Saban addressed his future coaching. While he didn’t specify where he would finish his career, he did indicate he has 16 seasons left. His reasoning? His mother’s late golf success.

"“You know my mother had a hole-in-one when she was 80. I’ve never had one. So I’m thinking I have 16 more good years of golf, and if I can play golf I should be able to coach.”"

I somehow doubt his mother would have had time to make a hole-in-one when she was 80 if she had spent the previous 16 years coaching high-level college football.
