Former Iowa Safety Tyler Sash Dead at 27

Former Iowa Hawkeyes safety Tyler Sash has died, first reported by Hawkeye Nation. He was 27.

The cause of death is currently unknown, according to KCCI.
Sash was a punishing force in the Iowa secondary from 2008-2010 and was selected to the Big Ten’s All-Conference teams in 2009 and 2010. He holds the school’s record for career interception return yards.
Sash played for the New York Giants from 2011-2013.
