Tanner Tolbert is fresh off getting engaged on “The Bachelor in Paradise,” and is a Kansas City native. (Not that I know any of this from watching the show, as far as you know).

Sporting Kansas City coupled Tanner finishing up this season with tonight’s game at the Portland Timbers, to come up with a faux rose ceremony to see which players head coach Peter Vermes would take to the Rose City. Tanner played the role of Chris Harrison, while Vermes (who now doubt envisioned this as the ultimate peak of his career twenty years ago) was the Bachelor.

Ultimately, he shockingly went with leading scorer Dom Dwyer (and husband of USWNT member Sydney Leroux) over Ike Opara, who ruptured his Achilles in April.

The true MVP of the spoof, however, was Benny Feilhaber’s shorts.
