Gunner Kiel Lay Motionless After Taking a Vicious Hit to the Head

Cincinnati Bearcats quarterback Gunner Kiel was taken off in a stretcher after taking a nasty blow to the head while sliding to the turf on a first-down run. Memphis defensive back Chauncey Lanier was initially ejected for targeting but the ruling was reversed upon review.

Kiel, who lay motionless on the turf for several minutes, has movement in his toes and was able to communicated with medical personnel, according to ESPN’s report.
