" HS QB goes to spike the ball.. AND HE’S PICKED OFF?! Unreal. https://t.co/FHjLjL1lmm — Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) October 5, 2015 "

Wisconsin high school football is the epicenter of highlights this week. Yesterday we showed you a Tecmo Bowl-like touchdown run. Today we have  a defensive tackle making a diving interception on a spike attempt.

Maybe you’ve seen that happen before. I sure haven’t.

Brian Zahn of Gillett perfectly timed his dive and was able to catch Crivitz quarterback Sebastian Atwood’s clock-killing attempt before it hit the ground.

As impressive as the play was, Zahn admits there was a good amount of fortune involved.

“I couldn’t believe it landed in my hands,” he said. “I just got lucky. I can’t believe the referee noticed too.”

It’s surely only a matter of time until the Detroit Lions figure out a way to lose a game in this fashion. Really looking forward to when that happens.
