Ohio State guard JaQuan Lyle, a former Louisville recruit, this week confirmed to an NCAA investigator “the gist of allegations” involving paid escorts described in an upcoming book, according to a CBS Sports report. Currently a freshman, Lyle visited Louisville in June 2013.

The book, “Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen,” accuses members of the basketball program of paying escorts to dance and have sex with players and recruits. Katina Powell, the self-described madam authoring the book, alleges that as much as $10,000 was changing hands at the peak of the arrangement. According to the book, Andre McGee, a former staffer was the point person for the arrangements.

McGee denied the allegations through his attorney.

In one passage, Powell claims she took four escorts to do a show for a Lyle at McGee’s request.

A source tells CBS Lyle “told the truth” while speaking with the investigator.

Lyle originally committed to Louisville before de-committing.
