Artie Lange joined Conan on Thursday, and told the story of the time he stormed the field when the Yankees won the 1977 World Series (this was the iconic game where Reggie Jackson hit three home runs; as an aside Jonathan Mahler’s Bronx Is Burning is an incredible contextual account not just of that Yankees season, but New York City at-large at the time). As the video below shows, it’s not as though 10-year-old Artie was the only idiot on the field — it was pandemonium — but it’s worth sticking around Artie’s story to figure out if he ever gets reunited with his Dad.
